Sheena works on renewable energy projects. She has also produced a documentary and is passionate about engineering solutions for humanitarian development.

In this film, Sheena describes how she helps remote communities access renewable energy. She explains how she combined her passion for renewables and social development to end up as an engineer with Ekistica and how Engineers Without Borders helped her journey.

This resource can be used alongside the Year 7 and 10 Earth and Space Sciences curriculum with students who are looking at renewable energy and climate change. It is also suited to Year 8 Physics students studying energy transfer applications in the world around us and how that relates to students’ lives. In addition, this resource could be used with Year 9 Chemical Sciences looking at chemical reactions. It is also relevant to the Work Studies Curriculum for Years 9 and 10.
