The Egg Drop Challenge
These resources are designed for students in Years 5 to 10.
They aim to challenge students to design a method of lowering an ‘egg-stronaut’ to the ground, simulating how space agencies land rovers and landers on a planet’s surface.
This fun and interactive lesson takes around two hours to complete, but can be extended depending on the depth of the topic and your individual learners. It encourages collaboration, visual and critical thinking and raises awareness of careers involved in space exploration.
